What makes Mulvere different from other silk pillowcases?

Every other silk pillowcase uses an envelope closure or zipper. Both styles allow the pillow to slip out during the night. Mulvere uses a fitted elastic design — the same concept as a fitted sheet — so the silk wraps completely around your pillow and stays there all night, every night. It's the only fitted mulberry silk pillowcase available.

Is this real silk or satin?

100% real mulberry silk. Both sides. Many brands sell polyester satin and call it "silk-like" — we don't. Mulvere uses Grade 6A mulberry silk, the highest purity grade available, certified by OEKO-TEX. There is no satin, no polyester, no shortcuts.

What does 22 momme mean?

Momme (mm) is the weight measurement for silk — like thread count for cotton. The higher the momme, the more silk per inch and the more durable and luxurious the fabric. Most silk pillowcases on the market are 19–20 momme. Mulvere uses 22 momme, which is heavier, softer, and longer-lasting.

What size pillow does it fit?

Our current size fits standard and queen pillows. The fitted elastic design stretches to hug your pillow securely regardless of fill level.

Is silk actually good for hair and skin?

Yes — and the science backs it up. Cotton pillowcases create friction as you move in your sleep, which causes hair breakage, frizz, and sleep creases on your skin over time. Silk's smooth surface dramatically reduces that friction. Dermatologists and hairstylists recommend silk pillowcases for people with curly hair, color-treated hair, sensitive skin, or anyone who wakes up with pillow face.

How do I wash my Mulvere pillowcase?

Hand wash in cool water with a gentle detergent, or machine wash on a delicate cycle in a mesh laundry bag using cold water. Never use bleach or fabric softener. Air dry flat or hang to dry — keep away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not tumble dry. Iron on the lowest silk setting if needed.

Is the silk certified?

Yes. Our silk is OEKO-TEX certified, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances and meets strict safety standards. This certification matters — it's independent verification that what touches your skin is safe.

How is it packaged?

Every Mulvere pillowcase arrives in a cream gift box with a silk ribbon and a silk care card. It's designed to be gifted or to feel like a gift to yourself.

We ship from Los Angeles, California. All U.S. orders receive complimentary shipping and typically arrive within 3–5 business days after a 1–2 business day processing window.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return window. If you're not completely satisfied, contact us at hello@mulvere.com and we'll take care of you. Items must be unwashed and in original packaging.

Can I buy it as a gift?

Absolutely. The packaging is gift-ready by design — no extra wrapping needed. We're working on a gift message option and expect it to be available soon.
